Some of the kpay folks just make me laugh for example, where if they have a free trial at all, I've seen it's only good for an hour! That's nuts!
Then you'd best not read the received wisdom on it. ;) Even that is considered too long.
There are competing philosophies and aims here, neither is correct or complete.
The is no wisdom with a 1hr trial. It's just silly!
While i kind of agree, functions like weather, cost me money to make. That's why that function is mostly paid for example.

How long a trial do you get when you buy a pair of trousers?
Like I say, different philosophies at play. I’m not defending either. Neither one fits my needs.
When you order the pair online? 14 days. When you buy it in the store, usually a 2-3 days.
anyway, sell it how you want
That’s a period you can get a refund, not a trial. Pretty sure kpay policy is no request for a refund is ever refused...
Actually, depending on how it's done, weather can cost the developer nothing. Just have a user get their own API Key, which is free for things like OWM
When Windows Phone was still around, I made a native front-end for a popular web-based school-parent-communication platform. I released two versions, one free and one that cost 99c, if I recall correctly and made clear that the versions are exactly the same, pay if you want. Later, I retired the app when the company itself made a better one but by then, the free version had been downloaded around 30k times and the paid version... under 5(?) ;-)
A month to return a pair of pants is common. And you can try them on to insure fit/comfort before paying a dime.
Apples and oranges.
Apples and oranges.
Look silly when worn as trousers. ;)
