variables

Are all the variables found on https://developer.garmin.com/connect-iq/api-docs/Toybox/Activity/Info.html? Or are there some more?

I'm specifically looking for a variable that gives you the heartrate limit that's been set.

For my Suunto I made an app I use with one sportmode and that app automatically tells me what I have to do : if it's monday I have to run a certain distance at a certain heartrate if it's tuesday it's another distance and heartrate,... I would like to make something similar for my Garmin. This requires of course a datevariable. Does that exist?

Is there a distancevariable that gives you the distance you ran today? In case I have to do my training tor some reason in 2 times.

Thaat's not exactly what I'm looking for. Those are the sepcific zones based upoon your maximum heartrate. I'm looking for a variable that defines the limit that's been set by myself. Today I'm running with a limit set on 130 tomorrow 150. TI also made a workout that changes the limit each lap. I also want that it still works correct when I realise I'm running with the wrong limit and I change the limit during my run.

Instead of getHeartRateZones'm looking for something like getHeartRateSet

You can use an app setting to set your max for today, or based on the app type,set a value right on the watch with a picker..

If you go for multiple runs in a day, your app could track that and keep thf valuse in Application.STorage.

sounds like just a custom workout. that way, you can predefine the limit hr, the list and have one for diff days.

That's not the thing I need because the alarm doens't always sound immediately in that case and also only sounds once every x time when you're over your limit. I want an app that sounds an alarm as soon as you go over your limit and that sounds until you're back under your limit.

As I understand, you would like an app that gives a training plan e.g.

day     distlimit  HRlimit
--------------------------
Monday     10km    130bpm
Tuesday     5km    160bpm
...

If the table is constant it can be hard coded. Otherwise it can be stored and changed by settings with GE or GCM.

Then the app can detect what weekday is today and use the appropriate distance and HRlimit. If the current HR exeeded the HRlimit or the current distance is exceeded an alarm is initiated, e.g. tone or vibration.

I can't see any problem to develop such an app.

I also don't see a problem to get a general idea of how my app should be written (already wrote it for my Suunto). But my problem is to know what the variable is for the date, what function do I need for the alarm to sound (Garmin.alarm, Garmin.beep,....?) I suppose it's somewhere to be found on the Connect IQ SDK-page, but I haven't found it yet. In short I can program in general, but I need to get started and get it translated.

The Attention module.

You can play a tone or vibrate. Neither are constantly on, but you can do something like call it every X seconds

I understand you can't program a constant tone, but to put it simple I suppose to app is constantly repeated so you'll get the impression it's constant. Or am I seeing this wrong?

You can only use attention in widgets or device apps, and you'd need a timer to just update the screen, So the interval for the timer would indicate how often you can call Attention. And you don't what the timer firing more than necessary as there is a battery impact..
