Sensors and Recording (Expected or Bug)

Hi,

Can anybody confirm what happens (on all or some devices) when you are listening to Sensor's and Start and Stop Recording?

Using the latest Simulator, it appears to work fine, in the current app keeps getting Sensor events once recording is started. However on my physical device (Vivoactive), it stops getting Sensor events and the Recording never starts?

Any ideas?

I'd would like to look at your app code. If you don't mind providing it, please send a zip of your project to [email][email protected][/email]. Otherwise I'll try recreating it from the snippets you've provided.

I'm not seeing any issues with the code that truncates that string at a glance, so we'll need to run this case. I suspect there may be a crash happening some where in the VM that doesn't get propagated up causing the app to get into a half running/half crashed state. We had a couple of bugs like this in our first couple SDK releases.

The name is for the temporary sport profile that is being set, and not the activity itself. This is like "Run" or "Bike" in the native activity modes. I'm not sure where it shows up on Garmin Connect or if it shows up at all.
