Contacting Developers via ConnectIQ Portals

I am sure I am not alone as a developer who receives many requests from users but I am left with no way to contact the person reaching out with a question.

In the Web portal there is an option to add an email address

but it is not clear to the user that an email is required if a reply is needed.  Can the 'Optional' text be changed so that it says 'Please provide Email Address if you require a reply'

On the ConnectIQ phone app there is not even a clue that an email needs to be provided if a reply is required.  As a user I would assume that as I was logged into this app that that it would use my registered contact details when I hit the send button.  I can see that Garmin does not want to release users data without their permission.  But surely the answer is to make this clear to the user and ask their permission rather than providing a frustrating user experience.  Can this be updated so there is a checkbox for the user to select to provide their registered email in order to receive a reply.

I am sure this is as frustrating for users as it is for developers who can see easy solutions to users problems but have no way of contacting them.

Can Garmin make easier for users to include/approve the use of their registered contact details when using the Contact Developer options on their portals.
