How to use MapTrackView ?

Hi,

I try to understand how to use MapTrackView and custom marker display.

I following this page ; https://developer.garmin.com/connect-iq/programmers-guide/user-interface but I have always this message :

Error: Unexpected Type Error
Details: Failed to start CIQ Application

What does it mean ?

The native activities have a data screen option for a map view already. In your activity profile add a data screen an select the map. Note not all activity types support a map screen. I know the native run profile already has a map screen in the activity profile .

Some device also have a bread crumb trail if they don't support maps, but breadcrumbs is something you can do in a CIQ data field. Here's one I did where I also mark were laps occur:
