I just spend a lot of time trying to submit a widget using the Submit an App page. Each time I would click the Submit button, it kept complaining that the description field was empty when it had just under 2,000 characters of description within it. Worse yet, it would clear out the cover image and other images each time this happened.
I tracked the problem down to having either a '<' or '>' sign in the description. I assume this is a markup bug, so probably '<' is the culprit. The description field should encode all the special characters found in the description so this doesn't happen to submitters.
Submission was using Safari on a Macbook Pro.
