Not sure if this is the place to post this but...
I've read in these forums that the backlight should obey the user-specified timeout even when an app turns the backlight on. However, I've noticed that while that is generally the case, if a widget turns on the backlight but the widget is auto-reaped by the system prior to the backlight timeout, the backlight will stay on forever (well, until battery drain or until user interaction causes the backlight timeout to kick in again). My test device is an F3, firmware version 5.10.
I will also take the opportunity to mention that it would be really nice to be able to have a widget stay active longer than the (uncontrollable?) system auto-reap interval, and would be really nice if CIQ widgets didn't have that wasteful IQ splash screen. And, widgets should have the ability to detect the high power / low power state, just as watchfaces do.... (Please let me know if there's a way to do any of this!)
Thanks
