Coding newbie - HELP!

Hi, I'm interested in starting as a Connect IQ developer but don't have any coding experience. Can anyone point me in the right direction for some relevant courses/resources online to help me as a complete newbie? Can't find much for Monkey C so wondered if there another language which I could learn to help get me started. Any help appreciated.

There probably isn't much about Monkey C, as it's Garmin's own confection. If you learned some basic Java, C# or Python, that would probably be a good grounding in data structures and how to think like a programmer.

You would have to then apply that general knowledge to learning Monkey C from the programmer's guides on the Garmin ConnectIQ dev site.

SDK documentation and sample code

One of the best ways to learn in my opinion is to start reading actual code in Monkey C.
No better place than the samples in the SDK, while you could at the same time check out the documentation (also in the SDK)

Setting breakpoint in eclipse

Hi

I have installed Eclipse and all the SDK. I got the simulator to work and load a test app. But then i wanted to set a breakpoint in the code to walk through the code step by step. I cant set any breakpoint?

Have search and read some documentation and i should be right -click in the editors left margin to add a breakpont. But i dont get any choise to "Toggle breakpoint"

HowTo?

Unfortunately not possible.

Best is to do Sys.println to debug.
