using same datafield in different profiles, but with different settings

some datafields offer customed settings. can i use the same datafield downloaded from iq shop with different saved settings in different profiles?
Example: one bike uses a powermeter, the bike specific profile uses this datafield POWER and displays power. I have another bike without powermeter. Instead of power I would like to use speed in the configuratiom. Looks like the customized settings are linked to the datafield itself, not to a profile.
An alternative would be to rename a datafield, so that I can load the same datafield again and have two instances of that datafield with different saved settings. Not sure if renaming is somehow possible.

The way this is handled is some DFs in the store have a clone 1 though x, where if you want to have two different sets of settings, you'd download clone 1 and clone 2.

For DFs that don't have that, settings are common whenever you use that DF.

Thanks für your reply. I will contact the developer if he might could build a clone with a next release.

Allowing renaming the DF on the user side (and have multiple same DF‘s for every specific setting) would be am simplier solution.

Connect iq allows to differentiate between run, cycle and other so it's possible to a certain degree but the app author has to implement it. (I've implemented this tactic in my "all in one" data field)
