ActivityMonitor.getInfo().floorsClimbed command not recognized on Forerunner 245

I am using the command ActivityMonitor.getInfo().floorsClimbed . This works for a variety of watches including the Forerunner 945. However, when I run the configuration for the FR245, I get the following error:

Error: Symbol Not Found Error
Details: Could not find symbol 'floorsClimbed'

I am able to reproduce this consistently. I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this. I am using CIQ 3.1.8...

The 245 doesn't support floors and therefore doesn't support floorsClimbed.

It doesn't have a baro altimeter,

What jim_m_58 has said is accurate. You can avoid the crash in your code by using a has check:

function get_floors_climbed(activityMonitorInfo) {
    if (activityMonitorInfo has :floorsClimbed) {
        return activityMonitorInfo.floorsClimbed;
    } else {
        return -1;
    }
}

Unfortunately, we don't provide exhaustive documentation about what features are available for which devices so the best way to figure it out is to use the simulator as you've done.
