Garmin connect Mobile won't install on Android Emulator

I have used an Android Emulator that supports Google Play using a Nexus 2, 3 with API level 29.

I can't install Garmin Connect Mobile from the Google Play Store because it says the device is not supported.

I'm doing this so I can test companion app communication with the watch.

Anyone run into this and know how to get around this?

Hi! Did you find a solution for this issue? I'm currently experiencing the same problem (device not supported).

I have the same problem, I would like to create a companion app, but I am not able to run this on an Android emulator since the companion app requires the Garmin Connect App. Please help.... :-(

I have uploaded the apk file of Garmin Connect and manually installed the Garmin COnnect app. This works!

This is great. Would you mind detailing steps on obtaining the apk and how you manually installed it?

I think I can figure it out but it would help newbies.

Unfortunately, I am not able to login with my Garmin account when I have started the Garmin Connect app.. An error message will appear: "java.lang.Exception 402" after entering my credentials.

Any update on this? Garmin, how are we supposed to develop companion apps without this?
