Need position for my watchface to calculate sun events

Hi, I have several watchfaces which utilizes the aquired location to calcualte sun events. I check for the location and if it's valid I store it in the object store to have a backup.

This worked like a charme for years. Now, I got a F6X Pro and my watchface seems to not get a location at all. I tried to change to an activity, waited for GPS and returned to the watchface. Nothing. I again started the activity (and eded it) but didn't store it - back to the watchface: no GPS. I stored a position manually and returned to the watchface, nothing changed with the sun events.

Did there anything change in the past?

I haven't heard of anything changing with this recently. I'm still telling users to do what you tried ...

Like markdotai, no recent changes. The last one was that a watch face needed Positioning permission to access this data, but that was some time ago.

Does it work for that target in the sim? Could it be when you added support for a 280x280 screen you skipped getting the location?

Hi Jim,

thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I never realized that positioning permission is needed since I backed up the position. As soon as I granted access I could see it working in the simulatio as well as on the real watch. Thanks again. And now I have to update all my watchfaces....

hi! Go into the manifest => "Permissions" tab => turn on "positionning"
