Is anyone interested in converting a Fitbit app to a Connect app?

I am a novice programmer who has written some apps for Fitbit. Fitbit uses a slimmed down version of Javascript. One of my apps is a simple indoor track lap counter which I am having trouble adapting to Connect IQ for use on my Venu. If anyone is interested in converting it, I can provide my Fitbit source code. I released the original on Fitbit free to use.

Here are the suggestions from the other 2 posters. This is just setting up the watch using the native RUN profile from garmin and just set up a special data screen to show what you wanted.

What is the added value of the app you want to converter? any default Garmin sport can do ti?

I am looking for a simple app that focusses on total time and total laps. I know how many laps-per-mile the indoor track is. What I like is something that gives me a large total time and a large total laps (so that an old blind guy can read it mid-stride). The Garmin app focusses on individual lap times.

I have attached an image of my start screen for reference. Curr and Prev refer to individual lap times. The single zero is lap count and the 4 zeros are total time. The Curr and Prev, along with a scrolling summary screen at the end, were added per other users request.

Current lap time / previous lap time / total time and current lap are data fields that can be set in custom screens data.

For the font size, create 2 screens data (one with cuurent and previous lap, one with lap and total time), the font size will be big. Have you tried?

I have not yet. I am still trying to teach myself the Garmin monkey language. I am not a professional programmer, so it is taking me a while to figure out.

Look at how to configure data fields within an activity. As Juggus suggested, you can just set up screens with native data fields to see what you want - no programming required.

Timer = Total Time

Lap Time = Current Lap Time

L Lap Time = Pre Lap Time

Laps = # of Laps (increments each time you press the lap button or if you use AutoLaps)

No programming needed (at all)
