Hi Jim,
So System.DeviceSettings can give me the part number of the watch; and devices.xml gives lots of stuff.
My app is all working for numerous watch variants, but due to the font difficulties and inconsistencies in white space I have some of my views that are not optimal and could be beautified a little; just moving text up of down by a few pixels here and there is all I want.
So can I just put device dependent constants in a resource file just to offset those text fields if needed (compile time)?
Or can I write code dependent on watch model to give me those offsets (run time)?
Its probably easiest for me to switch on the cryptic partnumber to do this; but I would rather just have the watch name?
Can I in code get the watch name?
Be careful with part number as the APAC versions and WW versions differ. You can make runtime determinations by using things like screen shape, width, and maybe the height of a specific font.
