where to put a personal code for an app purchased

Hi,

I've bought an app for kiteboarding and they gave me a personal code for activation and I don't know where to go to activate it. On the watch ? on my Garmin connect ? Garmin Forerunner 245

Any leads would be appreciated,

i have just purchased a watchface and received a code but cannot find anywhere to place the code to unlock it.
