Problems with non-started review process

Hello,

in December I created a developer account and uploaded a beta version of a watch face and updated this beta a few times. The last upload was around 20 Dec. Until today I got no message about a review or a problem with the process. At 31 December I send a mail to [email protected], but still no answer. Yesterday I talked to the german support of garmin and they directed me to a form at https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/developercontactus/ but after sending the filled out form, cloudflare came up with an exception. So until now nothing works. Can someone tell me, what I'm doing wrong and how to correct this? Thanks in advance!

The answer is quite simple: Beta apps are not reviewed. If you want to publish an app you must not mark it as a beta.

Yep, you can make a new build of your app with a new app id generated in the manifest file (keep a record of the previous app id in case you ever want to upload to the beta version again for testing).

Yep, you can make a new build of your app with a new app id generated in the manifest file (keep a record of the previous app id in case you ever want to upload to the beta version again for testing).

If you mark it as a beta then it stays private for ever. Otherwise it seems to take 1-3 days before it becomes approved.

As is said, you have to change the app ID to release the app.

Thank you all for the answers! I was not aware of the blog article and that beta means „private beta“ – to get the concept of a public beta I assume, that you have to create a third UUID and publish this like a final product and hint users in the description, that this is a form of public beta …

Correct. But you can use the same ID for a public beta and a release, and just change the name and description in the store.
