How to know date format?

Hi,
How can I know if the date format of the user device is dd/mm/YYYY or mm/dd/YYYY?

If device is using km, can I assume that format is dd/mm/YYYY? and if miles mm/dd/YYYY?

Probably the safest thing to do is make the format an app setting (new in CIQ 1.2.1). User can pick the format from Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express. This is also how you can do thinks like color options too.
