Forerunner 645 Music - “Error Occured” when connecting to Garmin IQ

My brand new watch is synced to my Garmin Connect App but whenever I try to access Connect IQ I get a red “error occurred” message and then Garmin IQ does not acknowledge that I have a device. 

My old Vivoactive works fine through the same process.

i cannot find any reference to this error message on any forum. Please help! No point having this watch if I cannot download Spotify!
