Strava Compatibility

Has anybody been able to generate a .fit file that successfully integrates with Strava? I realize that Strava has the ability to manually upload a .fit file, but does anybody have insight on what units are available?

I have created a Treadmill control app, I can generate instantaneous speed, incline, and METs-- but I would like the ability to publish all this to a user's Strava activity feed.

Out of curiosity what treadmills do you support? Assuming you're using BLE FTMS.

I'm not sure what you mean by this.

If you've enabled Connect/Strava integration and have enabled the "Data shared from Connect to Strava" option, the .fit file should automatically get transferred to Strava when it is uploaded to Garmin Connect. I believe you should be able to turn this on by following the instructions here: https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216918057-Garmin-and-Strava

You, as the software developer, don't get to decide if the activity is uploaded to Strava. This is something the user has to enable.

That said, I'm not sure what developer data fields will be shown on Strava. I remember a while back that this wasn't something that they supported, but that could definitely have changed.

in my experience Strave does no support things outside bike and run, other sport and data are just load in a "bucket" with less than anything usable !
