AutoLap vs Lap button press

Is there any way to differentiate between those two ?

The problem I have: When lap button is pressed I round the distance to the nearest kilometer. When pressed again

within 30s it resets this offset and distance is the original one.

But, when I for example press at 8.05 the lap button and then 20s later, lets say at about 8.10 kilometers, the offset is reset

but then I get a Autolap every XX.10 kilometer. And then at the next autolap it sets the offset again.

Is there any way to prevent that ?

I assume you're talking about a data field.

No, there's not. And with the 20sec thing, you're adding extra laps/splits to the recording, which you probably don't want to do.

Thanks for your reply. I wanted to add the option to clear to distance offset if someone accidently presses the lap button. I think one extra split in a race (the datafield is specially for the wings for life world run) doesn't really matter that much in that case.

Is there any other button (or long button press) I can use to clear the offset?

The only really good way to do is input in data fields is using onTap on some touch screen non-wearable devices.

Thanks for that. I think I will leave the solution as it is. As my 935 itself has no touch I want to keep it the same across all devices. I will add a note in the description that autolap has to be turned off if you want to use the offset feature or the lap button needs to be pressed at the next kilometer marker when the offset was reset before.

But not all touch devices support onTap() in a DF. For example, none of the vivoactive or Venu devices do.
