Health API for non-organizations?

Hei,

We are a group of freelancers looking into building a platform for monitoring user halth data.

While reading the documentation it looks like this can be achieved by either developing an app (Stanard SDK, Companion SDK) or using the Health API.

We opted for the Heath API in order to avoid re-fetching/duplicating data that is already in the Garmin system.

From our understanding even with access to the Health API the users still need to grant access to their data to our (3rd party) platform.

Is there any way for use to make use of the Health API without having (or being part of) a company?

I am also a regular developer, and I would like to use health api as a pet project. I don't have my own company, and I would like to develop an application for fun. How do I get access in this situation?
