Fresh install on a Mac gives error "monkeydo: line 19: seq: command not found"

Just did a fresh install of the latest SDK and Eclipse on a Mac running 10.6.8. New projects I create as well as the samples all give the error "/Applications/connectiq-sdk-mac-0.2.4/bin/monkeydo: line 19: seq: command not found" when I try to run them. I get the same error if I try to run monkeydo from the command line.

I can't really tell what "line 19" refers to since my understanding is that it is attempting to run the .prg file. Can't seem to find any log that would give more information.

Pretty sure I followed all the instructions in the readme and Programmer's Guide correctly. It appears to be building the app okay so and find monkeydo so doesn't seem like a path problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

What version of OS X are you using?

Can you edit the monkeydo script and replace `seq 1234 1238` with {1234..1238} and let me know if it works? I don't have a machine with 10.6 to test this change against.

Sorry, where to I find the monkeydo script? All I see is the application and a batch file in the bin folder.

It will be in your sdk/bin folder. It's just called monkeydo with no extension.

If I replace " 'seq 1234 1238' " with "{1234..1238}" I get two errors...

Guess this isn't going anywhere. I switched to a computer running 10.9.5 and no more errors.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I haven't had a chance to track down a Mac running 10.6 yet to see what the problem is. Based on the second error you gave it looks like the issue is with the Connect IQ Simulator crashing on earlier versions of OS X. I'd say that currently the minimum Mac requirements are 10.9.
