URL for Eclipse plugin installation?

Can you please be more specific about the errors you see in Eclipse?

HermoT is correct. The directory is does not allow read access, so I'd expect you'd get a 403 Forbidden error from your browser. If you enter the URL into eclipse as the Programmer's Guide suggests, it should work just fine. Eclipse knows what files to look for and will find them.

I had a battle with this on ubuntu using eclipse from the ubuntu snap installer, couldnt get it to work at all. Installed eclipse from the eclipse website instead and it worked first time.

Here is the message I'm getting. Mind you, I installed Eclipse in the same folder where the old version was previously installed.

If you're able to see this file, the problem is most likely not with the plugin files being available, but is more likely to be caused by a client-side configuration issue.

A quick search through the googles shows that others have seen this problem with many different software bits via eclipse. Oftentimes they get past it by adding -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true to the -vmargs option in eclipse.ini. I did read one post where the user fixed the problem by deleting the %HOMEPATH%\.eclipse folder and starting eclipse.

Deleting the .eclipse folder in my home directory allowed me to get further. But it looks like I need a clean install of Eclipse.
