"Aborting launch due to failed build. " Message

Hi,

When I try and launch the simulator, I get the message "Aborting launch due to failed build." The project successfully builds (I get the "BUILD: Complete" message), but running generates this error.

The bizarre thing, is that I have 6 projects are they all give the same message. Even more bizarre, is all 6 projects on other PC's work perfectly.

I've tried running the build in the command-line and no warnings or errors also appear.

I am really keen to get my main PC running and testing, anybody any ideas?

Can you provide some additional info, such as your OS, version of Eclipse, Connect IQ SDK version, etc? Thanks!

We think this issue is related to another issue some people have had intermittently with the App Export Wizard (see this thread). Are you able to launch the simulator from Eclipse apart from attempting to run an app? To do this, click the Connect IQ menu and choose Start Simulator. If you are able to, and since the project is building, you could try running the app from the command line with the 'monkeydo' command (e.g. monkeydo path/to/myApp.prg) instead of through Eclipse and see if that works.

Thanks for your help.

I can successfully start the simulator from Eclipse as requested, which opens to a blank window.

When I execute monkeydo with the chosen prg I get
Found Transport: tcp
Connecting...
Found Transport: tcp
Connecting...

And that's it!

When you execute monkeydo from the command line, is the simulator already running?

Sorry Brandon, I did it separately.

When I leave the simulator running, and execute monkeydo, it works perfectly

Do you know why it doesn't work directly from Eclipse?

We're not entirely sure yet, but it's being looked into. This is one of those strange issues that doesn't affect everyone, and seems to occur intermittently. Our hypothesis is that something is happening in the Java process (which is why things work fine outside of Eclipse), but beyond that I'm not too familiar with the details.

I've tagged this thread, along with other related threads, so I can respond back here if we have any updates or determine how to fix the issue.

Same error

Hi,

From night to day I started having this issue as well.
I can't run anything from eclipse now.
Please fix this asap.

I'm running OSX Yosemite with Eclipse Mars.
