Font / doc inaccurancy!?

Hi,

the FONT_NUMBER_MEDIUM for the 920 is according to the docs has a font size 32. However if I create my own font size 32px and draw then next to each other then the FONT_NUMBER_MEDIUM is MUCH bigger. Can you help?

That's is not the case for all devices.

See the "Connect IQ User Experience Guide" in the 1.1.3 SDK (appendix B is all about fonts) They are not there for the VA or Epix, for example..

It's a FW thing, not a CIQ thing. BTW, did you know that the VA supports the "degree" symbol in NUMBER fonts but the 920 doesn't?

And for the F3, it varies what chars are available based on the font size....

Maybe look at using standard (non NUMBER) fonts? You'll get full character sets there...

While things have been improved some, there are still some font inconsistencies between some of the devices. It's somewhat out of our control because, as Jim mentioned, it's due to the device firmware, not Connect IQ. I believe that this issue will eventually resolve naturally with future devices because of some changes planned for the font system.
