Rebuilding with CIQ 1.1.2 and APAC support

Something that you all may not be aware of is that apps marked with support for English under 1.1.2 will now build app versions for Asia/Pacific devices, which includes variants sold in China and Japan. While not required, we encourage developers to re-build their apps under 1.1.2 and push the update to the app store so that our friends in Asia can also enjoy the apps you've worked hard to create!
  • I have done this last night.

So lets see if the downloads increase.

Could you have some icons at each app showing what support it ofers, like the APAC? How do you advertise that it has APAC support?
I mean an Asian visitor could have tried it before and discovered that it does not work. How do you lure them back now that you have APAC support?
  • The APAC devices have different internal part numbers, so people in Asia (China, Taiwan, Japan, etc.), don't have apps available on their store if the app does not have support for APAC devices. Once developers begin to rebuild with 1.1.2 (or your app gets converted as recently announced), apps will begin showing up for APAC users. I don't think you'll need to lure anyone back--users in Asia have been disappointed in the lack of apps available to them, so they're anxiously awaiting more apps!

    Thanks, makes sense.

So lets hope they will start downloading soon!
