How to publish an application that works only in conjunction with Android phones.

I'd like to develop an app using Connect IQ SDK, which will interact with the Android phone, but without the phone app will not work. How should I publish the app on Connect IQ Store in this case, just specify a link to Google Play in the description of the application or ...?
I believe that there is the option to link off to a companion app when you submit your application to the Garmin Connect App Store. If you do so, you'll get a link to the companion app right on the app download page. An example of this can be seen on the Disc Golf IQ page.
