Default Background Colour. Is the API exposed?

Got a user who asked if the datafield background colour can be changed from white (current) to black.
in the default - i've made the app to be White BG and Black FG (text).

then I remembered that the background colour is user configurable on a per system basis, I check the DeviceSettings API doc, and noticed that it does not include the Background Colour. Am I missing something and it's there or it's not exposed to developers to use?

in any case, is there a way to determine what is the BG colour in use so that we can adapt accordingly?
Same case with the Accent (took me some time to determine what this is accent colour. lol)

Those colors are not exposed at this time. I believe we have feature request tickets for accessing these settings.
