Are there any plans to offer API to configure the base low power CPU to update seconds over a ConnectIQ watch face? So that way a custom face can have seconds updated all of the time?
No, there are no plans to do this. It's been discussed quite a bit, both in the forum and on the team, but one of our primary goals is the preservation battery life. Battery life is also very important to Garmin customers, so we want to avoid providing a mechanism that would allow an app to impact battery life too heavily. Screen updates are one of the more expensive things power-wise, so controlling screen updates during low power mode is one of the key restrictions we put in place.
