Question about “App pending” status

If you submitted it as a beta, it never gets approved.  Approval normally takes a couple business days, unless you do ANT, which can take longer.

I'd give it another day or two and not worry.

Also remember that approval is done by somebody in Kanas during business hours so they may be different than where you are

Thanks, Jim! It's not a beta and it doesn't use ANT. My previous watch face was approved within a few hours, so I thought something might be wrong this time.

Updates only take a couple hours, but new apps, 2 days or so, and that can vary based on the availability of the human that approves it.  Updates don't need a human.

Hi Jim, one more question: I’ve prepared an updated version with a small fix that doesn’t affect functionality. My initial submission from September 29 is still pending. Would uploading the update via “Upload New Version” restart the review wait? I’d hate to start the wait all over again  Would you recommend uploading it now or waiting until approval? Thanks again!

I expect the original approval to progress on the original timeframe, but it's also something I don't think I've ever tried

Thanks! It’ll be a full 72 hours since submission later tonight, so I’ll wait until then before deciding whether to upload the update.

I would probably update the app right away, so I could install it and verify the fix, depending on what the fix was.  I would have already installed the version that was waiting for approval

I’ve already downloaded and tested the pending version—that’s how I found the small issue. The updated version is ready; I’m just concerned about restarting the review wait. There are only a few hours left until the 72-hour mark, so I’ll wait until then before uploading it.

Even if it resulted in another day or two, I'd do it so users see the fix right away.
