Hello Garmin Connect IQ community,
I would like to share an update about my watch face project - Atlas One.
Since the first release, I have continued improving the layout and device compatibility based on real device testing.
Atlas One is designed as a clean and high-contrast AMOLED watch face, focusing on quick readability rather than displaying too much information.
## Latest improvements
The latest version improves support for Garmin round AMOLED devices:
Supported devices include:
- Forerunner 965
- Forerunner 265 / 265S
- Venu 3 / 3S
- epix (Gen 2)
- epix Pro (42/47/51 mm)
The layout has been optimized for different AMOLED resolutions:
- 454 × 454
- 416 × 416
- 390 × 390
- 360 × 360
Changes include:
- improved spacing between elements
- adjusted typography scale
- optimized step display positioning
- smaller icon resources for compact displays
- improved readability on AMOLED screens
## Design approach
Many watch faces try to show as many metrics as possible.
For Atlas One, I wanted to keep a balance:
- large and clear time display
- important daily information
- minimal visual noise
- optimized AMOLED contrast
Current information displayed:
- Weather and temperature
- Heart rate
- Battery level
- Body Battery
- Stress
- Daily steps
## Development notes
This is my first Connect IQ project.
The watch face was developed with:
- Monkey C
- Garmin Connect IQ SDK
The biggest challenge was adapting one design across different circular AMOLED displays while keeping the same visual style.
I would appreciate feedback from Garmin users and developers:
- Which metrics do you consider most useful on a watch face?
- Which devices should receive more optimization?
- Any suggestions for future features?
