(Feature request) A “crash report” screen/view in the ciq app insights for beta apps?

If the connect iq app is to become the way to install/manage beta apps perhaps it would be helpful to have the watch sync crash logs to some sort of view in the beta app’s dashboard/page in the ciq app.

I know you can plug your device into a pc but I figure seeing what’s wrong prior to sitting down at your development environment the next time you have time, would be a great way to realise a problem and plan ahead a fix mentally or on paper saving you time and your watch the trauma of being plugged in and out.

Beta apps' crashes are available in ERA Viewer after you sync with Garmin Connect app (maybe Connect IQ?)

I have not seen this feature before. So there is some sort of place in either app where you can see errors and such?

I found this document about era but it only talks about seeing them on a pc and not on your mobile device as far as I can tell. developer.garmin.com/.../

That's where you have it. Garmin probably won't add it for you to Connect IQ, especially not after they intentionally (or accidentally?) removed deletion of side-loaded apps from Connect IQ.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what they ultimately end up doing to improve the whole ciq situation that seems only half finished.

Nevertheless thanks for the info about ERA. I had no idea it existed.

With ERA. you'll see all crashes - be they beta or production. and in the case of production, you'll see crashes from all users. ERA is something you really want to keep an eye on as you may not hear from many users when there's a crash
