Merchant Account Document request - why so many stages?

Within the Merchant system, the only way to view sales activity is to request a Sales document, which can take up to 3 days which should really be labelled be 5 days.  

You then receive an email from Garmin with the title Your Connect IQ Sales Report Is Available and there is a button labelled missleadingly and incorrectly, as View Here. Sounds promising, and the lure of that View Here buyton builds the expectation is that you are 1 click away from viewing the sales figures.  However, that button takes you to the Documents page on your Merchant Dashboard where you will see a scrambled list of documents that are for some reason, not in chronologiical order.

There are 3 tiny dots to the right of each document which if you click, you see an Export CSV option. When you Export, you of course have to select a destination to save the Exported CSV file, and then navigate to that destination, find the file, double click on it to open in a CSV viewer to "View Here".

Why cant you just get an email to say the report is available to view in your Merchant Dashboard and when you click on it, it opens up o view?  From memory you could even do this type of futuristic stuff with Netscape Explorer V3.
