Hello, I'm seeing many customers with a Tactix 8 that can not download all apps. They can download some, but others are not available for their device, while the correct devices are selected in the manifest (Tactix is not a separate entry if I'm correct). What is the process of approving them for the Tactix 8 and can we somehow get this done faster?

But that doesn't explain why certain apps - that were already in the store, support fenix8, have auto migration enabled - were not migrated to tactix8

The tactix 8 is essentially equivalent to a fenix 8 from a Connect IQ perspective so a PRG built for fenix 8 will work on a tactix 8, however the store listings will need to either be manually updated…

Auto-migration is a mass process that occurs after new products launch, and is not something run on a per-app-submission basis. It's possible to release/update an app that supports fenix 8 now with auto…

The tactix 8 is essentially equivalent to a fenix 8 from a Connect IQ perspective so a PRG built for fenix 8 will work on a tactix 8, however the store listings will need to either be manually updated by re-building with updated device configs that include the tactix 8 or by allowing the store to auto-migrate.

In either case, there is no separate approval required. If you have some apps that are not yet compatible with tactix 8, make sure you have the auto-migration option enabled on those apps. Since I believe auto-migration has already occurred for tactix 8, you will probably need to manually rebuild and update any apps that don't have auto-migration enabled.

Hi Brandon, I think they are all enabled for auto-migration. But I'll just rebuild those apps to make sure these users can access it. I didn't know that the models with the same prg need a rebuild to be allowed, but now I know. Thanks for the information!

I also got a query from a user about tactix8 for this app: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/0ffbd4ea-017d-4ef0-9846-a2c8050f1bfc It has Auto Migration enabled and fenix8 is listed, so I don't understand why they were not auto migrated. Is it a bug in the store or does it somehow depend on my app?

Mistake by the store.. My old watch faces from last year migrated automatically but the ones that were updated in February would not.

Auto-migration is a mass process that occurs after new products launch, and is not something run on a per-app-submission basis. It's possible to release/update an app that supports fenix 8 now with auto-migration enabled, but it wouldn't automatically support tactix 8 until the next auto-migration takes place (which would be whenever the next product launch happens).
