Apps for Muslim prayer time

Hello,

I'm glad you think about this kind of app because I had in mind a very similar topic, a compass that point and indicate direction of Mecca;
Into an apps we can imagine a splitted screen with on the top, an arrow for the direction.
And below the next prayer time, or a countdown...

What do you think ? I'll make a prototype

Just kidding. Seriously though: wouldn't it be easier to run a prayer app on your phone and set your VA to show is notifications? Remember that the VA doesn't multi-task. You'd have to run the prayer app all day; no watch face and no other activities possible at the same time.

I have created a widget that displays Jewish prayer times. This can be seen at https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/5588a19d-ee0a-4445-8604-4b51d37f03a2

From what I understand of Muslim prayer times the concept is similar basing the times on sunset and sunrise. I would be happy to adapt my widget and create a new one for Muslim prayer times. Regarding the compass this could be an additional feature later on.

I also think you are better off with two widgets. One using the location to calculate prayer time. It shouldnt be far from the sunset widget. And one using the location, compass and coordinates of Mecca to calculate the heading.

The trick with the fenix 3 instead of Apple watch/Android watches is that it is able to do it without a smartphone

Thanks for publishing this widget. I've been using this widget for a few day (In different Time zones between KSA & KW) and it is working perfectly in displaying accurate Prayer times. & Mecca direction is accurate.

I would like to see it with an alarm for each prayer (with the option to have it vibrate only).

Unfortunately the watch does not allow the widget to operate in the background so an alarm function cannot be added.
