Swimrun application (run,swim,run,swim...)

I would like to have an application supporting Swimrun. The app should switch between Run/swim/run... everytime you press "lap" when you are done you press "stop".

The number of legs in a swimrun competition varies so it's hard to create an multisport-session.

+1 on a swimrun app. As I have a Vivoactive (rumor says it sucks when it comes to calculate distance on open water) I would also prefer that the swim length calculation would be calculated using the last GPS position during the run and the first GPS position on the preceding run if that is possible (the length of the swim leg would then be the length of straight line between the two points...this is the most common way of calculating the official swim distance during a race anyway). Nr of swim strokes etc could still be calculated as usual I guess ...
I also guess that the GPS can remain ON but not store any distances in the FIT file during the swimming to speed up the satellite localization when the preceding run starts.
But sadly I imagine that Garmin do not want to have this as an app as they want to charge more for this functionality by selling a better multisport watch (like the 920xt or fenix3):-(

just don't turn off the GPS. it will record whatever it records no matter what ur start or end position is.

I don't think swim strokes or that whatever swim related metrics are available for use in CIQ. u can see the Api And check.

+1 for swimrun. Just preparing for the UK Breca Swimrun this weekend and found out that I can't do this on the F3. Somewhat irritated...

I won't care about swimstrokes or other swim-related stuff and I've seen the DIY app "pmTriathlon" in the Connect IQ store.
That said, all we'd need is an "endless sport-to-sport" app where you define which of two sports and what sport starts it.
As previously mentioned the no. of legs in Swimrun is pretty much varying so please let's have an app that goes
- Start
- switch switch switch switch switch (repeat oftenly)
- Stop

I did try and I can't get it to work. So, it's hard for me and statement such as the above is not gaining you any brownie points for me to work on it.

U can even see that j asked in the forums and no one responded!!

@NIKEOW don't get me wrong - I didn't read out that someone actually tried a solution already.
So let's alter that to "might be not-so-easy".
I'm not (yet) a developer just a humble Swimrunner :) checking out the options for my 2016 gear - Suunto apps might as well be an option but the challenges look same there.

So.... That's a lot of head banging resolved. Not doable for multi sports. BAH!!

So.... Given that, swim-run activity - say u have 10swim and 10 runs. U end up with 20 activity fit files in GC and if u want transitions - 30(!!). Does not seem too "gracious" or useful... Does it??

Also between each activity - will take the watch u to 1-1.5srcs to save the file and in that time, watch will be slow. (The file system is a slouch)

And if a swim-run app is released - I'm sure there will be lashback from users in the reviews. Another whammy. (Cos no one read app descriptions. Majority anyways)
