Count the number of floors climbed

I don´t know if this should be here?

But my suggestion for the programmers of garmin, is that why not implementing to count the number of floors or meters climbed during the day (Fenix 3 has altimeter), as already happens in other platforms, in order to be more acurate with the daily activity.

Yes! There is a Stair Climber activity and when you use it it estimates calories pretty well for that activity, it seems. So number of stairs or flights climbed should be a logical addition to that.

But what I want is that the number of meters ascended each day will be indicated into the widget's activity so the calculation of the calories in your daily activity would be more accurate.

You want it to do it like the Withings Pulse? It uses a barometric altimeter to measure altitude changes while you are moving. Was working fine, but i prefer the all in one approach of the fenix. If you use the altimeter for that purpose, you can't use it for storm alert at the same time because the Tracker has to asume that air pressure is constant.

Why doesn´t the fenix 3 have floors climbed and "Intensity minutes" like the vivosmart? Does that mean you need to have another electronic device strapped to your arm? Doesn´t make sense that garmins flagship doesn´t include these simple features.

Request that Garmin address the issue as to why or how to update the Fenix 3 to track floors climbed and intensity minutes like the vivosmart.

Floors climbed is in the current Beta fw for the fenix 3 so it will be available soon
