[Request] Soccer / Football Performance Tracking App

Hi, I just bought a Fenix 3 and am new to the Garmin Forum. I want to use the watch among other activities to track my (amateur) soccer / football performance. It would be great to record

- the distance run during a game or training
- number of sprints
- own goals scored (through pushing a hardware button for every goal)
- own assists made (through pushing a hardware button for every assist)

The screen can show 3-4 fields including the information above and maybe heart rate in addition. This app goes more to the motivational side and can be helpful to track the performance. It should be easily transferrable to Basketball or other Team sports.

Anybody interest in developing the app? I would be glad to contribute more although I am not a programmer.

    Sports+ is released and will be available in the app store in a few days. I will need some volunteers to help on all the different metrics and fields needed to support Soccer, Basketball, Tennis, Football, Hunting and Fishing!

    @fbbbrown, I get my 935 next week and would love to test out the app for soccer/football. I play weekly, and very interested in an app or activity type catered to soccer.

    How has Garmin not entered the team sports market (especially soccer) to compete with Beyond Pulse or Apex?  This seems like a no-brainer to me.  I'd prefer to use a product with the Garmin name backing it and I'm sure Garmin would be able to come up with something that's much smaller than the Apex Pod

    Fully agee males no sense - not even in activity type on Fenix 5 can you choose soccer

  • I was able to use the scorza app on my Venu 2S for soccer, it comes with a vest too that I can put the watch in and then an app on my phone to see extra stats 

  • I built a focused response to this request: Pitch Pulse records a Soccer FIT activity and shows time, GPS distance, heart rate, current/max speed and an automatic estimated sprint count. The sprint threshold is configurable, and the app is free with no account or external server.

    I really hope that after the soccer game ends, I can see the "number of sprints" and "sprint threshold" in the statistical information of "connect" for the "pitch pulse-soccer tracker". Thank you. There is another app called "joga", but I prefer pitch pulse.

    Thanks, Ying — I shipped this update based on your request. Pitch Pulse v1.1.0 is live now in the Connect IQ Store.

    The saved Soccer session now includes Estimated Sprints and Sprint Threshold, together with additional high-speed summaries, as FIT developer fields. After updating the app, record and save a new session, then sync it to Garmin Connect. Connect may place developer fields under the activity's additional/developer metrics depending on the device and Connect version.

    If either value is missing after a fresh v1.1.0 activity, please reply with your watch model, firmware and a screenshot of the activity summary. No FIT file or personal route data is needed for the first check.
