Multi-sport Mode

Hello, I am new to the forums and not sure where to post but is there anyone looking to create a multi-sport mode for the Vivoactive similar to the one on the 310xt? It would be great to use during triathlons to have a dedicated triathlon mode to time all three phases and transitions incorporated into one file. Let me know your thoughts.

Another idea, that I read in another forum that would be great is that when sleep mode is activated it would automatically turn off bluetooth. This would save battery and keep notifications from coming in during sleep. Thank you for any comments.

I'm thinking of a triathlon mode for the vivoactive, as I have a triathlon at the end of May. No guarantees it'll be ready by then though.

Also, I'm not sure how you would switch activity type within the same recording - otherwise I'd probably just dump three seperate files. Will see

Edit: A single FIT activity is not currently supported, so it'll have to be three files to start with
  • Hello, I'd be more than happy to know that somebody will create a multi-sport mode for the Vivoactive...

I have a working Duathlon application for the Vivoactive, needs some polishing up before a general release, but if you want to try it as it currently is, let me know. Triathlon version will come a bit later.

Edit: Oh, my "Duathlon" app is just cycle-run, where apparently a proper Duathlon is run-cycle-run. Shouldn't be hard to adjust (and make it an easier base for my Triathlon version too)

I would love to try it if you don't mind. Actually they way you have it set up is perfect for now as well. I do a lot of "bricks" for training and that would be really nice. Let me know what I need to do. Thank you!

Go here and download the pmDue.prg file, and put it on your watch's \GARMIN\APPS folder. The release notes will explain how to use it

In addition, the red bar goes green when the GPS has a signal

Apart from time, there's currently no feedback regarding pace, distance etc. I'm having trouble getting that bit working at the minute, and I've not had much time to actually work on it.

Thank you!!! I am excited to try it.

Hi pmprog. Thanks for working on the duathlon/triathlon app. I Pre-ordered the VA before seeing any in depth reviews as I have a Ironman 70.3 coming up and wanted it to train with, but actually thought it had the tri function! Silly I know. If you could keep us posted of anything you develop in relation to this I'm sure there will be lots of interested people!

    Thanks

I wanted to add my thanks as well. A multi-sport feature would be awesome for this watch. If you could keep us updated on any progress that would be great.

    Thanks.

There's going to be an update to the pmDuo application soon (hopefully today). I've noticed several issues during my testing.

Once the pmDuo app is sorted, I'll start looking at a full triathlon app.

I'll release to my GitHub account, but once I've tidied a few bits up, I'll try and push it to the ConnectIQ store too

Edit : Submitted to ConnectIQ store and the updated version can also be found here
