Normalized Pace Data Field

I would like to be able to see either NGP (like Training Peaks) or GAP (like Strava) as a data field. I realize those exact algorithms are probably protected. But something like that.

Additionally it would be nice to support altitude and temperature normalization. I know Jack Daniels has formulas/tables for those. But again I think they are copyright. But there may be other public corrections that are available.

Bonus points if you do temperature normalization, and support a Tempe on a 920XT.

I have tried to suggest it to the guys of Strava to do it. But apparently there is not too much interest

I uploaded a data field over the weekend to show Grade Adjusted Pace. It's been very helpful for pacing my runs, but let me know what you think. I'm also testing out a field for Normalized Grade Adjusted Pace (like NP for cycling, and uses GAP as the input to it). Would that be useful to you?

If I get time, I'll look into altitude and temperature adjustments.

I can't access the link to blogspot referenced. Hasn't anybody tried to implement some datafield for LAP GRADE ADJUSTED PACE?

Unfortunately Garmin doesn't allow datafields to know when a new lap is started. It would be possible to display grade adjusted pace for each mile/km, but I haven't thought that was worth the effort.

Garmin now allows datafields to know when a new lap is started, so I just released Lap Grade Adjusted Pace. I also just uploaded Normalized Grade Adjusted Pace, and it will be available as soon as it is approved.

All three of the grade adjusted pace datafields I created also adjust for altitude. I probably won't get to temperature adjustments since I don't have the Tempe.
