For things like training plans, it's also a matter of real resources on the device (memory and CPU). The va won't support things that are on other devices for the simple matter of the "engine". The VA is the low end of the current running watch Garmin Market, and doesn't have the "OOMPH" of a 920 or F3... (they are much more expensive, as there is more "oomph"!)
You don´t want to say that an interval timer uses lots of CPU-resources or memory (that´s just a few bytes), do you? And also, the VA, no matter how much at the "low end" it might be, is surely many times superior to a 310XT, which is six years older.
sounds like u just need a stopwatch.
