wanted an IQ watch face with the lowest possible power consumption
save all the battery juice for the multi sport activities

it may even be without any data on screen, just blank

So I win if I can make a watch face that crashes the device and leaves it in a power off state? :P

At this time, It is not possible to write a ConnectIQ watch face that will draw less power than the native face. The only option would be to power off the device.
