Ambient noise level checker app

I would like to have an app that checks the ambient noise (decibel) using the onboard microphone of the Venu X1. Ideally the app would show a scale and assign categories to all noise levels representing how loud a room is for example. It would be useful especially the Venu X1 is closer to a smartwatch then a fitness tracker.

If there is already an existing one I would be happy to have a look. Also, I would be happy to develop this app, would be great to understand if it was feasible in the first place to access the mic.

Unfortunately Connect IQ apps can't access the mic.

You can try suggesting it to Garmin at Share Ideas | Garmin, but I am afraid it is not the type of a functionality that Garmin would be willing to implement.

Otherwise currently, the only alternative way that I can imagine, would be writing an app for the phone, and then having a CIQ app displaying the results from the phone on your watch. Or just having the phone showing notifications with the measured values, on the watch.
