Indoor lap counter

I was thinking. When you take the Compass value, by example 180 grade, and you make and when you take a turn. The value is 360 grade. The moment that you have a compass value of 180 grade. Then you have a new lap. With an watch / bike computer with a digital compass you can registrate laps by the compass value. Maybe you can make a data field for count the lap count. I'm not the person who can make this, but I've a lot of ideas.

  • The arm with the watch swings and twists in a wide range of angles when you run, hence it does not necessarily point in the direction of your run. I am afraid that the compass would be rather useless, and very inaccurate for this purpose. It is simpler pushing the Lap button, each time you want to log a lap, on my mind.
