Programmatic screen backlight control issues on recent Garmin watch models

I have my application that runs the Attention.backlight(true) method; to turn the watch screen backlight on on important events.

On a Forerunner 935, the backlight is turned on for a short time with that method but not on a fēnix® 7X / tactix® 7 / quatix® 7X Solar / Enduro 2.

Also, on the fēnix® 7X, when I’m not in my app and I tilt my wrist to wake up the screen of the watch, the backlight turns on but when I’m in my app, it doesn’t work. Is there something to enable to support that?

My application uses API level 3.1.0

I have a similar problem on the Epix 2. For me the backlight doesn't turn on with Attention.backlight(true) but it will when I use a float brightness value such as Attention.backlight(0.75f).
