I am envisioning using a Speed Sensor 2 as an odometer / hour counter for my bike and connecting it directly to a mobile or web application. I've read through the Garmin documentation, and it doesn't explicitly state that I can connect to the Speed Sensor 2 directly using Bluetooth, and Speed Sensor 2 isn't explicitly listed in the CIQ SDK device list. The instances I've found using Speed Sensor 2 connect via another Garmin device through Bluetooth or ANT+. I am able, however, to connect directly to my standalone Speed Sensor 2 in the Garmin Connect mobile app, so this direct connection is clearly possible.
If someone has insight into this or can steer me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
