Is it possible for someone to create these as activities/apps that can be chosen on the VAHR and then they will show up on connect with the name of these activities?
I do not believe that there is a way to control the name of the activity as displayed on Garmin Connect from within ConnectIQ. Garmin Connect has two options for naming activities. You can choose 'Untitled' or '{Location} {Type}', where {Location} is derived from your GPS position, and {Type} is derived from the activity type used when creating the recording.
Additionally, there are only a few different activity types supported by ConnectIQ; hiking and elliptical are in, but boxing is not.
So someone could create activity types for hiking and elliptical? Surprised this hasn't been done
There is one for Hiking - today, for the vivoactive, and fr23x and 630, with a version for the vivoactive HR available any day now (I'm testing the compass and barometer that aren't available on the other devices I support)
