As part of an entrance exam for Belgian Firefighters, candidates need to perform one out of multiple different workouts (run a certain distance in a limited time). We are going to use Garmin sportswatches for this in the near future (Garmin Venu).
To make this easier for candidates and examiners I'm thinking about hiring a ConnectIQ developer to create custom faces/widgets or apps. I want to optimise the following things;
- Minimise the required button pushes to start the workout (by an examiner)
- Select 1 out of 2 types of runs
- Change the required distance based on the candidate age and sex
- Go to a 'ready to screen' and wait for the candidate to start the run
- Show runners the time, distance and current speed while running, possibly have the background change color if they are running too slow
- Show the end result after the run (and keep it there until the examiner returned to the 'home screen'
