app idea: running dynamics "teacher"

It might be that I am asking the impossible (as I do not know what data devs can access), but here goes.
There are several 630 920xt Fenix 3 and F3hr owners who get to see running dynamis. However at the moment one should have all values in head...a bit tough while running.

Is it possible to create an app that, based on your cadence recommends corrections?
Eg if Cadence is 174-185 and your Vertical oscillation is 9 cm...the app vibrates watch and shows vertOsc value with arrow down. The "swet spot" (6.7-8.3 cm)
could be green, to low blue and too high red. The app would let you have wrong value for max 5 seconds before alarming you.

The app could show all running dynamics simultaneously + pace 3sec and timer.
So vert.Osc, gtc, gtc balance in %, stride lenght, vertical ratio, cadence, pace and timer would be shown.

(Moved from connect iq to here...where this thread belongs)
  • The new running dynamics are not available to ConnectIQ at this point in time. The cadence is there, but not much else.

That said, once the data becomes available, it would not be difficult to create fields that displayed the current value and then some indicator to tell you if you want to increase or decrease that value, perhaps using the coloring scheme from the charts on Garmin Connect.

Personally, I don't think it makes sense to try and focus on resolving multiple issues simultaneously. It seems better to pick one issue with your stride/gait/form and work on resolving that. Once you've got that completely resolved, you can move on to the next.

Yeah... I was afraid this would be the answer. It is a shame that Garmin gives this info, but you can't really use it well.

As to one data at a time or several data at a time... that could be user defined, to each their own.

Hope Garmin will provide this data to devs in future.

    Thanks for the answer.
