A reminder timer

I would love someone to develop a timer that I could set to vibrate at set intervals (i.e. every 30min) to use on the fenix 3. I would like to be able to change the frequency and duration of the reminder timer (for e.g. vibrate each 30min for 12 hours) Thanks!!
  • An full-blown app could do this, but it would require that the app be active when the timer expired. There is currently no way for an app to notify you while another app, or the watch face, are active.

There was some functionality that would support this in a previous release, but it was removed. It is expected that it will be reintroduced in the future.

    I second that!

I would program such a timer. I want it so badly.
Actually I hardly need a hour timer- hourly beep- on my fenix 3 like any cheap casio watch has.

I could live with customizeable sounds and vibrations for alarms. So I would setup 24 alarms with a short "brrr" without having to click it away.

Please tell me if its possible or when they will introduce such option-

I did tell you. Like I said above, if you're happy to leave this app running all day and all night, then you can do it pretty easily given the current SDK. If you exit the app, it would not have any way to notify you that the alarm/timer had expired until you started it up again.

If you want this to nicely, where the alerts would happen regardless of the state of the watch (assuming it is still powered on), you will have to wait for the events API to be added back. It's as simple as that.

    I don't want a full blown app.

Instead I still want to use the watch as usual, starting apps, do my runnings and see the widgets.

The timer stuff should run in the background!

I hope the SDK will offer support for this.
